Glenn Johnson
Director Glenn or Johno…that’s how I’m known to my friends and that’s how you’ll learn to know me also. I have been actively involved in the Building industry since 2001 when I commenced a carpentry apprenticeship with a local Bayside builder, and still to this day work in the area. Since that time, I have been exposed to a broad range of building styles including renovation’s, extensions and new homes, with a strong focus on period and architectural builds. This broad exposure in building styles has given me a valuable skill set in different building practices and a deep understanding of the day to day operations on-site, allowing me to create an efficient building process through intelligent scheduling and management. I personally oversee all project management of your jobs day to day running in conjunction with regular communication with the site foreman, and of course, I am always available to answer your call. When work doesn’t require me to be here and time permits, you will more than likely find me clipped in to a rope on the slopes of a mountain somewhere in the Himalaya’s. I have been fortunate to climb on a few expeditions and to date the crown of my climbing resume is Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain in the world, at 8163m. The prized climb though is K2, it might only be the 2nd highest mountain, but it is by far a much more technical and challenging climb than Everest and a serious undertaking. |
Teresa Kleeman
Interior Designer Hi there my name is Teresa Kleeman, I was lucky enough to meet Glenn whilst travelling Europe a few years ago – we hit it off quite well discussing our businesses and how we could work together one day. Glenn and the trades like to call me T or TK, I have been running my own business Embracing Space since 2016 though I have been in the Interior Design industry since graduating from RMIT University in 2006 for ‘Diploma of Arts - Interior Design & Decoration. I love all aspects of Design but my main strengths are Kitchen & Bathroom Design. Working exclusively only in Residential Spaces I enjoy the way creating and visualising makes me feel – happy, content and passionate. There is nothing else in this world that my heart & soul would rather do. The greatest reward is creating a dream space for my client and seeing it come to life and knowing that the client is thrilled with the outcome. If I am not playing around with materials and thinking design you can catch me on my boat hitting the water sports in summer with my husband and daughter enjoying the beautiful Lake Eildon and I love catching up with friends enjoying brunch at my local café. Ben Osborne
Foreman Hi there, my name is Ben. I was born in Melbourne and studied hospitality management. In 2005, the travel bug bit me, and I ended up in Vancouver, Canada where I would stay for the next 15 years. Shortly after arriving in Vancouver, I did a stint on a construction site and realised my passion lay in carpentry and I haven’t looked back since. Over the course of my career, amongst other roles, I have worked as a foreman in the carpentry/hardscape division for a landscaping company specialising in large scale garden installations, before moving to a foreman role in a development company restoring/flipping houses where I was exposed to a wide range of carpentry styles from period restoration to contemporary architectural remodels. In 2010, I elected to open my own construction company specialising in remodelling and restoring period/heritage style houses in and around Vancouver, which I ran for 10 years. I enjoy the challenges presented in maintaining original features and combining new structures and elements. After moving back to Australia (I missed the sunshine!) I met Glenn and the K2 team. I quickly realised we shared a passion for heritage style works and alterations with similar values and goals of providing clients with a new living space while maintaining the period style of the original building. When I’m not having fun swinging a hammer at work, you will find me swinging a hammer at home, or camping on the side of a stream somewhere enjoying the scenery and serenity of the Australian countryside, perhaps even just lounging in the sun. |
Rodney Johnson
Apprentice Hi everyone my name is Rodney, but I’m also known as Rocket, and in January 2022 I started my mature age apprenticeship with K2 Homes. I have actually already completed a couple of other industry apprenticeships, each giving me a different set of skills which carry over into my life today but I always felt my best when being on the tools and in an environment that challenges me both physically and mentally. I learn best by being hands-on, and with the type of work, we do I certainly get plenty of opportunities to do that. Outside of work I have a wonderful partner in Ashlee who is also the mother to my beautiful daughter Rubee and I can't wait to go home to them both each night. On the weekends I like to play team sports, in summer it's cricket and winter AFL, and if I get the chance for some more downtime I enjoy playing Xbox. So that's a bit about me...oh...and I am also Glenn's youngest brother. |
Liam Reed
Apprentice Hey everyone, my name is Liam and I officially started my carpentry apprenticeship with K2 Homes early this year in February 2023. Fresh out of high school I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had previously done placement with Glenn in 2022 and enjoyed working with the crew so after school I asked him if he would take me on as an apprentice and he said yes. I completed year 12 at the near by Cheltenham Secondary College and have grown up in the area. Outside of work I am into water sports, 8 ball pool and hanging out with my mates. I went into carpentry because I liked seeing the finished product of what I’ve created, seeing other people benefit off what you do is very rewarding in its self. In my free time I like to relax, go to the gym or play on my Xbox with mates. Staying active and being in shape is a big part of this job as well as it is a very taxing job. I enjoy working for Glenn, Ben and Rodney, as I get along with them quite well and they are very relatable. |
